Obituary of Barbara A. Quester

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Barbara Ann Quester was born in Niagara Falls NY on October 5th, 1952, 2nd child to Franklin and Irene Quester. She attended St Teresa's and graduated in 1969 from Madonna High School. Upon graduation, she attended college and worked for some years before joining the Army in 1976, where she spent several years in Colorado. She spent a lot of time caring for and riding her horse, and very much enjoying the awesomeness of the Rockies. She returned to Niagara Falls, NY and worked as a civil employee on the Niagara Falls Air Force base, and became a US Air Force Reservist in the 914th TAG. She served her country dutifully for 24 years, which included a tour of active duty in the Persian Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm, for several months. She retired from the Air Force Reserve in 1996, and from her employment in 1999, due to her diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which started in 1993. When in good health, she enjoyed spending time with her family, dogs, and friends. She loved photography, and traveled when she was able, with a particular draw to the Southwest. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of swimming in her pool, or taking drives in her Mustang. She was a talented writer, a Buffalo Bills and LA Angels baseball fan. Her faith and trust in God guided her decisions and her life. Characteristically, Barb was spiritual, generous, kind loving and would do anything she could to help someone in need. Her support to her family, (dogs included), and friends was unconditional and unwavering. She will be so deeply missed. She is survived by: brother, John Quester, wife Margaret, nieces and nephew, Lisa Bannon (Jason), children Julian and Kennedy Bannon, Julie Nichols (Kevin), children Cooper and Cori Nichols John Quester, (Candace), children Anderson, Shae, and Parker. Sister, Carol (Fiancée Joe Albanese), Maxwell, Alyssa and Alex Bowersox, Anthony and Amy Albanese, and dear friends too numerous to mention. Contributions in her honor can be made to: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Research Center (CHSRC) at Stanford Medicine http://med.stanford.edu/sgtc/donation.html Lollypop Farm, Human society of Greater Rochester https://www.lollypop.org
