Ray was a terrific person and police officer. He probably saved my brothers life. Thomas
Jerome (Jerry) Churchill. Ray was a regular at our house. Jerry was probably at some time going to do jail time. Did spend one night in Albion jail. Ray suggested Mom and Dad let him "experience" that. At a point he personally escorted Jerry to sign up for the Army. 25 years. Three tours Viet Nam. I as little sister, have told so many people what a great person Ray was. I was six years younger than Jerry but 'knew' He was being saved by Officer Meyering. Thank you. So sorry. Just saw this obit. In fl.

Ray was a tough BSA merit badge counselor. I was never a strong swimmer, but he tried hard to make me a silent one. For all the Scouts he taught, he will be missed, and yet I believe he will be remembered. Peace.

Ray was my godfather. I had not seen him in a while. He was a really really nice man. Many fond memories of the State Police clam bakes at Hamlin Beach. Thoughts and prayers are with Adelaide and the rest of the family.

As a member of the Swain Ski Patrol, I remember Ray's contribution to the Patrol and service to the skiing public. Now he can ski the endless slopes in Heaven.

So very sorry to learn of Ray's passing. We know he's just gone to the other end of the table but it's still hard to let go. Many prayers and love...
