Philma was a friend to all of us at Kirby's Farm Market. She was working at the market when our youngest son Chad was born 23 years ago. Besides being a hard worker, loving flowers, people, and keeping everything clean, she even changed a diaper or two. Later in life she became a great customer, buying pickles, peaches and other fruits to make pickles, jams, and pickled peaches that she was so famous for. She was a sweet lady and has a wonderful family - we were kept updated on the number of great grandchildren that she had. She talked about Don often, so I know she'll have a big smile when she sees him again. Rest in peace Philma. My deepest condolences to her family.

Philma was one of a kind!! She gave so much of herself to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton community. She will always be known as the jam, jellies, pickles, sauces and cookie lady! She kept many people supplied with homemade items. She also knitted and gave most of her work away. For me she was my "flower lady." She always supported the Garden Club at our annual Flower Sale. I would ask why she bought so many flowers and vegetable plants. He answer was always..."Oh I give them all away." She made a life without her husband Don, but she always missed him I think. I know she is happy to be with him again.
