Aunt Valerie was part of our family throughout my life. It’s challenging to express how much she meant to me because how can you fully describe one in a few short sentences. She was a truly unique, humorous and caring person and was always kind to me and my family. Over the years our relationship changed from that like a parent/child, to advisor/mentee and finally to cherished friends. We spoke one or more times a week and I will miss our phone calls which had us laughing, chatting and at times even crying. I’m fortunate to have had her in my life for so long and am sad she’s no longer with us. May she rest in peace with her husband, daughter and all the loved ones who passed before her.
