Obituary of Kimberly H. Burch

Burch, Kimberly H (Bigley) - May 31, 1956- February 15, 2023 at the age of 66 with her family by her side. Survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Edward. Her children - Ann, Katie (Christopher), Edward Jr (Sheila), her grandchildren - Tori Belle and Hudson Harris, her parents Carter and Marilyn Bigley, her siblings - Rod (Sharon), Brenda Bigley (Vance) Vestal, John, Scott (Beth), Nancy (Ange) DeFazio, her brother and sister in law - George (Margaret), Barbara (Jeffrey) Pratt, Clifford (Margie), Albert (Kirstie) and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her mother and father in law - George and Harriett Burch and brother in law - Robert.

 

Kim lived for and loved to take care of her family. She married her high school sweetheart and was a stay at home mom until her youngest went to public school. Kim then went to work for BOCES 2 as a teacher aide for over 25 years. She worked with students of all ages, but she was her happiest working as a classroom aide to preschoolers. Kim volunteered in her children’s classroom, for band activities, chaperoned various field trips and band trips while her children were in school. Kim was excited and very happy to become a grandmother. She loved Tori Belle and Hudson greatly.

 

Shortly after retirement Kim was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 60. She continued to take care of her family, especially her daughter, Annie, until she could no longer take care of herself. 

 

Calling hours will be Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 2-4pm with a short service immediately following at Fowler Funeral Home in Brockport, NY. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to Special Olympics and Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center.
