Obituary of Gloria V. Hillman
Gloria V. Hillman
Brockport - Gloria passed from this life at age 93 on January 25th, reunited at last with her beloved late husband, Frank. She is survived by her children Gail (James) Adams, Mark (Diane) Hillman, and Wayne Hillman; grandchildren Christopher (Amber) Adams, Sara (Robert) Cornish, and Aubrey Hillman; great-grandchildren Ryan and Evelyn Adams. Also survived by sisters-in-law Rose Marie Budnick, Shirley Blab and Joan Hillman, brother-in-law George Hillman, and a large extended family. Also preceded in death by her beloved brother Louis Budnick, Jr. and numerous sisters- and brothers-in-law.
Born in Buffalo to Louis, Sr. and Victoria Budnick, Gloria grew up in a gregarious Polish/German family, enjoying long summers camping in Allegany State Park. She and the handsome young Marine down the street fell deeply in love and were married September 10, 1949. Gloria and Frank raised their family in West Seneca before moving to Brockport in 1968. Family was the very center of Gloria’s world and nothing made her happier than a gathering of loved ones. There were always beautiful roses in her garden and something wonderful cooking in the kitchen. We will remember her sweet, gentle kindness and her quiet determination to never let health problems keep her from living a full life. Heartfelt thanks to her caring angels, Sue, Jackie, Sherrie, Debbie, Michelle and Donna.
