So many memories- I really cared a lot about a man I only knew for a couple of years. He kept telling all his Facebook friends how special I was and how I was someone to watch out for because I was going to do great things. He tried to talk me into the full marathon and believed that one day I would do that and my leg wouldn’t be a problem anymore Watching him run the warrior lap at the step it up walk when he was the only one. He ran because he could and he was determined to keep fighting. Hanging out with Lou and Cindy at the Hyatt Fleet Feet party. Lou never gave up. And I think that even deep in his heart he knew his time was getting shorter he still had big plans. And he was determined to get them done. It’s strange forging a friendship with someone who you know is dying. I’m so glad that Lou came into my life and that we could encourage each other to keep going. I’m not giving up. Cause he would never want me to do that.
