Obituary of William P. Brown

William P. Brown: Ionia/West Irondequoit: Bill passed away on August 31, 2019. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Ginger, and dear children, daughter Pamela, and son, Mark. Also survived by loving siblings, Harold (Peggy) Brown, Anne (Rick) Hansen, Margie (Tim) Bailey, Susan Beadle. Predeceased by siblings, Ginny Linton, Esther Morath, Mary Morse, and John Brown. Survived by loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nancy (Bill) Bonter and Jill (Jim) Brasser, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and dear friends. Bill's formal education started in a one-room schoolhouse. When his large family moved, the school closed because of low enrollment! As a teenager, Bill along with his father and brother, built a greenhouse with only hand tools where they grew beautiful geraniums. Bill was a respected and loved teacher of AP and Regents Physics at Irondequoit High School, enjoyed coaching HIS cross-country and teaching at MCC as Associate Professor of Physics Adjunct Faculty. Bill was an avid fan of the Yankees, Syracuse basketball, and Knighthawks Lacrosse. He enjoyed walking 'n talking, woodworking in the workshop he built, and driving "Betsy," his International Harvester 424 tractor. He dearly loved his family and friends. He will be remembered for his gentleness, compassion, honesty, courage, and fun Irish sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday September 5th at 10:30 am at Mendon Church, 936 Cheese Factory Road (at the intersection of Route 64), Mendon, NY 14506.
