I have known Ken for 41 years meeting him for the first time when he started work in the Tool Engineering department at Kodak Elmgrove in 1978. Even though I didn't work directly with him we became involved in the same circle of friends playing golf, floor hockey, and enjoying a couple of beers afterwards. I remember when Ken meet Ruth at Champs in North Chili where we would go after our Tuesday evening golf league. Our paths separated for awhile as Ken left Kodak to work for himself designing injection molds. Our paths crossed again where we both were working for Ortho. Ken was a top notch designer and CAD operator. His extraordinary attention to detail during the design process minimized future problems and I learned to value his recommendations. He played a huge role in laying-out some of our most recent systems. He loved his work and interacting with his colleagues.
Ken, you will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ken and his family during this difficult time. Please take comfort knowing that to those who worked with Ken saw him as a respected and talented designer and friend who always gave his very best for the success of the project. His creativity, technical expertise and dedication to the team along with a friendly approach with others made him a pleasure to work with.
I first met Ken on the Gemini program in 1992 when he started working at the Kodak Hawk Eye plant on the production design for the new immunoassay analyzer we were developing. As a contractor he quickly assimilated to the team and the project, taking on ever increasing roles and responsibilities. Our paths would continue to cross on various projects at OCD including many that were focused on developing concepts for new products that showed his creativity and attention to detail. He never shied away from an assignment regardless of how difficult or outrageous the request might have been. Even when we weren’t on the same project, just stopping by his office on “designer’s row” for a chat was always a welcome diversion, as he would readily share stories about work, family, politics or complaints about the Bills. His office was the modern day water cooler for those of us looking for a quick break from the daily grind.
As we all try to live forward after losing those we care about, it’s their memories and personal gifts of time and talent we shared that help ease the pain of loss and provide comfort. It was a privilege and a gift to have known Ken as a coworker and friend for so many years.

I worked with Ken for many years on several Ortho projects and got to know him well. His personality made him easy to work with even when projects went through difficult stretches and long hours. I enjoyed working with him, his meticulous and detailed nature helped save many potential problems. I will miss Ken and I’m so sorry to hear of his passing, my condolences to all of your family.

I worked with Ken at OCD since around 2001. He and I developed the slide supply module on the Thin Film Incubator. Ken was an amazing designer and paid attention to the details in such a way that there were very few changes that needed to be made once the unit got into production. He was very well respected amongst his peers.
The fun I remember is Ken "the mayor" title he was given. He was quite the social person and got along with everyone. His smile and laughter was contagious and always had an upbeat attitude - even in the toughest of times.
The picture shown here is the smiling face of Ken I will remember.
My deepest condolences to the family he loved and often talked about with his co-workers.

Shawn and I are very sad to hear of Kenny's passing. He was a great friend to us in high school and would always be there to do anything for a friend in need. He always had a smile on his face and was upbeat and optimistic even during the most challenging times. This was never more evident then during his battle with Cancer. A real example for us all. We feel privileged to have known him and he will be missed.

Ken was a wonderful coworker, always jovial and we used to tease him he had a memory like an elephant. We could just walk up to him and ask him question about a product at OCD and he would start rattling off all the answers. I kind of followed Ken from Kodak. When he left Kodak I arrived at Kodak and occupied his office. I followed him to OCD where I sat next to his office. Finally I left OCD but he continued there. We corresponded frequently.
He went thru a rough time in his final years but finally he is at peace in God's hands. I pray his soul rest in peace.

Ken was a 13 year classmate at Wyoming Central and my Alfred State College roommate. I'll never forget all the great times we had together and falling asleep every night to the Marshall Tucker band. A great guy who will be forever missed.
