You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Christine was an amazing mother to Nicholas and Matthew. She attended everything for her boys at school. She made me laugh every time I saw Andrew and Christine together because the boys would always run all over. I always told her that if I had boys they had to look and act like Nicholas and Matthew. I meant that. They are so sweet and caring just like their mom. You will
be missed Christine. I am so very sorry for your loss Megalo family. Love you all~

Sometimes, we are fortunate enough to meet one of God's Angels while they still walk among us. I was one of those who was able to meet Christine and witness her angelic beauty with the children she cared for each day. Her dedication to caring for others was as beautiful as her smile and as ferocious as her tongue... when she was angry! May we all aspire to live, love and laugh as fully and deeply as Christine. May we be lucky enough to continue to feel her guidance and spirit among us.

Dear Matthew and Nicholas,
I just wanted to tell you about how I met your Mommy. When I found out that my son, Jesse, had NF, I decided that I had to do something to make his future better. I started the Rochester NF Walk and started to meet other people in the area who also had a connection to NF. In February of 2011, your Mom requested to be my friend on Facebook. We started to talk through Facebook and then I sent an email to everyone I'd met and asked them to join me in the organization of the first event. Your Mom came to that meeting and offered her help. She told me about her story with NF and that she didn't even know that she had it until she was pregnant with Matthew. She also found out that Matthew had a 50% chance of getting NF too and it scared her. She wanted to do something to make his future better too. So we had a great first walk in May of 2011 at Seneca Park. Your mom, grandpa Frank and Matthew all came. Your Mom was such a great help and she came to help at the events in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 as well. Your Dad came too. The last time I got to see her was in 2013 because I moved to Virginia that year. Michelle Seaman took over the event when I left. I was able to go to the Walk in Rochester in 2018 and I was so excited to see everyone that I'd missed so much. Unfortunately, your Mommy had gotten sick and wasn't able to go. I'm sad that I didn't get to see her again because she was such a beautiful, happy, caring person and she always made me smile. She loved you both so much. I want you to know that you can talk to her whenever you want to and she will hear you and if you pay close attention, you will see signs that she's with you. You might see a butterfly or a red bird or even a feather that she's left for you to find. You will know when the signs are from her because they will come when you need her the most.
I hope you both will always remember how much she loves you and how beautiful she was. Give your Daddy extra hugs too because he's going to miss her a lot too.
Warm hugs,
Miss Connie

Dear Megalo Family,
Christine was always smiling when she was around "her" students. Her unconditional love for them was evident every day at work. Her family was always her priority, and she spoke of them often and showed her pride in pictures. She will be fondly remembered, and terribly missed by all who worked with her or knew her in other ways. My sincere condolences to the family and friends who now have an angel watching over them.

Andy, Matthew, and Nicholas,
My heart is broken. I am so sad that Christine had to go through all of that. And that you had to witness it. She loved you all so much. I loved hearing the stories about her boys and her husband. Christine and her family always made me remember when our kids were little...two boys are a lot to handle, and so much fun.
I love Christine...I think of her as my little sister...she would tell me how she liked that I would use my "mom-isms" on her. I was always very protective of her. I never wanted her to be upset or hurt. She had a sensitive and kind soul.
She was so kind and caring...loved our students like no one else ever could. And our students loved her. She was the "reward" that our students could earn if they did what they needed to do. Nothing was better than earning time with "Megalo".
So many memories of laughter. Our job can be really tough sometimes...she always found the parts to smile at.
I am always here for you, Andy, and for those incredible boys. Hug each other, tell jokes, cherish pictures and memories. She is now your angel....and ours. <3
All my love,
Kim
