Barbara was the best version of kindness that I have ever seen.
She poured all her love into her children and grand-children
Her faith led her to a place of love and kindness, and I respect that deeply.
Her legacy lives in her children and grand-children. Her legacy lives in her faith.
I love my aunt, I talked to her in her demise. She knew what she was giving up, she knew what she represented.
She was a rock star.

Dear Family of Barbara Allen,
Please accept our sincerest sympathy in the loss of Barbara, who served the United Methodist Church as a pastor. We thank you for sharing her with us, and trust you may take comfort in knowing that her ministries have reached out like pond ripples to touch the lives and hearts of many, even beyond our sight.
We hope you will be supported in the coming days by the comfort and kindness of those you love, and know that you and your family will be in our prayers.
Grace and peace,
The Board of Ordained Ministry of Upper New York Annual Conference

Dear Family of Barbara,
I extend our heartfelt sympathy to you in this difficult time. I remember seeing her across the room at our yearly gatherings in June. I always hoped we would run into each other so we could speak. I say this from viewing her photo. I am sure her light of love shone everyday. May God grant you comfort and love of family and friends in these days. Our prayers are with you and know that God is with you, even though it may not seem that way right now. In sympathy and prayer, Pastors Nancy and Larry Russell- Northern Flow District UMC

I am saddened to learn of our loss of Pastor Barbara. Having her as a student at United TS and then serving as her mentor were very good experiences for both of us Barb had a smile that melted hearts and a gracious way that gave love to all. We all will miss you, Barb. God’s peace is now your own.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother (and grandmother). No matter how old we are, it still hurts to lose our mom. I have personally found comfort in the words at Acts 24:15 where it tells us, "There is going to be a resurrection", and that soon God will "wipe out every tear" from our eyes. (Rev. 21:4) I'm also looking forward to seeing the fulfillment of Psalm 92:14, "Even in old age they will still be thriving; They will remain vigorous and fresh".
You have my sincere condolences while we patiently wait for that day.

Pastor Barb, it was an honor to know you and Mac. You brought such a sweet spirit of joy and laughter to Exley in your time there (we will Never forget Mac’s deadpan “There’s a hole in the bucket, dear Liza...” You shared your journey with us and then helped us with ours. I will never forget our Maine talks and how happy I was to see you at Fish Fry after you’d moved. You will always be a light in my life- you’re just shining from a much better angle. Love you, Friend.
