Obituary of Rosemary S. Lazarus

Rosemary S. (Lawson) Lazarus Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday November 7, 2018, age 88. Predeceased by her husband Jack B. Lazarus, parents Charles and Catherine Lawson, sister Catherine "Baber" Sponn and son-in-law David Phillips. She is survived by her children Roseanne (Victor) Romero, Carol Phillips, Donna (Russell) Wilkins, Anne (Joseph) Whalen, Catherine (David) Blood, Patricia (Gregory) McMullen, Laurie (William) Fuss, Lisa (Michael) Shanley, Mark (Gina) Lazarus and Michael Lazarus, 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way, brother Charles (Jane) Lawson, many loving extended family members and her lifelong friend Marion Roth. The family wishes to give special thanks to the 3rd floor staff at Elderwood of Brockport for their compassionate care. Rosemary's pride and joy was her family. She somehow managed to make all ten children feel equally special. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren adored her, and many extended family members have spoken of Rosemary's great influence on them. Rosemary and her late husband, Jack, loved to travel. As soon as they returned from one trip, they would start planning the next. It is comforting to now think of them continuing their travels together. Family will receive friends on Sunday November 11 from 1-4 PM at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc. 340 West Ave., Brockport, where her funeral service will follow at 4 PM. Entombment in Riverside Cemetery will be held privately.
