Obituary of Helen W. Sweeting

Brockport: Peacefully on September 9, 2010 at the age of 93 at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center, Brockport. Born March 16, 1917 in Brockport, NY, she was the daughter of Frank and Edith Wilson. Helen is survived by her sister-in-law, Doris Sweeting (Shelby, NC) and many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Richard W. Sweeting and her sister Belva (Clyde) Browne. Helen was a life member of Western Monroe Historical Society and member of Brockport United Methodist Church for many years. Helen served her community through many organizations and associations and was especially active in the Lakeside Twig Association and Methodist Wesley Circle. Her favorite pastimes were playing Bridge and golfing, enjoying her friends at Stafford County Club and at many courses in Florida where Helen and Dick spent winters until recently.
No prior calling. All are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Helen, which will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Brockport United Methodist Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to Brockport United Methodist Church, 92 Main Street, Brockport or Lakeside Beikirch Care Center, 170 West Ave. Brockport. Special appreciation and recognition are given to the fourth floor staff at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center who provided skilled and loving care to Helen for the past several years.
