What wonderful memories I have from our friendship of fifty plus years. I remember how Maryann loved her small children and as they grew to be adults how proud she was of them. To see them become strong, capable, and good people gave her great pride and peace of mind. The grandchildren were her joy. She so loved seeing them grow and how each personality developed. Maryann never tired of talking and sharing the news about their many accomplishments. Along with being a beautiful quilter, she was a skilled seamstress. Maryann made many beautiful things. One in particular was an awesome Communion dress for a friend's daughter. She went through so much for so long. Maryann told me more than once she was grateful that Bill was by her side. "He takes good care of me," were her words. She believed in angels and referred to her guardian angles watching over her. I imagine she's visiting with folks who have been waiting to see her. There are no tubes now and she can inhale deeply enjoying every breath. So now, whether family or friend we have another guardian angel to watch over us.

Maryann was truly my mom's guardian angel. In mid November she insisted my mother, who had a horrible cough for 6 month, go too the ER. She has an appointment a month later with a pulmonologist. Because of Maryann's encouragement, my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer a month early. I am forever grateful for Maryann.
My mom, Lois Ryan, woild go spend an hour or 2 with Maryann after church every Sunday. She was such a special friend.
She came to Mom's house too see "Santa" with my daughter. I understand she has not been ations Santa and children due to her being prone to hospitalization for various reasons. Maryann was there to comfort my daughter as she was unsure of Santa. Olivia loves her "lovable" that Santa gave to her. I will think of Maryann every time I see it and will say a prayer for all of you. What a special angel Maryann is. Love and prayers to you all.

Dear Skehan Family,
I have no words to express to you how very sorry I am for your loss. I never had the honor of meeting your mom and grandmother, but knowing the amazing people that all of you are, she must have been one in a million. I hope that you can all find comfort these next few days with all of your loved ones. May she rest with the angels.
Love,
Penny

Maryann was always so cheerful when I would stop by. She would always share her delicious bake goods with me and tell me they had no calories in them.
Carolynn and I will miss tooling around the neighborhood on our scooters with her.
With love and sympathy,
Peggy
