Going to my Aunt Elenor and Uncle Glenn's was always fun! They always made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Uncle Glenn was a gem with the small kids and they loved him. I will miss talking with him. The closeness our families shared when I was growing up, will always be a charished memory.

My grandfather was one of the greatest men I have ever known. His love and support has helped make me who I am today, and there are no words to describe how much I will miss him. No pain, no sorrow grandpa, I love you.

Uncle Glenn was one of the nicest and most personable people that I have ever met. I didn't get to see him as much as I would have liked in recent years, but always enjoyed a wonderful conversation when I did. It's so difficult to put into words just how much he will missed by all of us that loved him.

If I had enough room to write a lifetime of memories I would try! There are few moments in my life that were not impacted by my Uncle's wisdom and insight. He was loved by so many and asked for little. My sleep overs at his house, helping him staple the pennysaver together, going out to dinner, camping in the adirondacks and hamlin beach, sitting on his lamp and geing hugged and called "mamie". I adore and admire my Uncle. Through the trials in my life my Uncle never looked down on me and always was positive. It meant the world to me for him to say you have done nothing wrong and that I am a good mom. I love him. His life has effected mine and will continue to impact others because of who is he is. I miss not being able to have the long talks and hear his witty jokes but I will be sure to talk to him through prayer and know that I am most happy for him to be reunited with all those we have loved and have passed. May God Bless my dearest Uncle.

To the Rheinwald family - Dad and Grandpa will be missed, but he is in place where there is no more suffering or pain. I'll bet Mom was happy to see him and he to see her!!! He was a proud Silsby and has gone home to be with other proud Silsby's: such as Ken Hovey, Ken Gurnett, Dad Vaughan, and so many others. I'll bet they are planning a Silsby Dance as we speak!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all - may he rest in peace!

How fortunate are those who knew Uncle Glen. He was a wise man with a kind soul. I am so thankful he was able to make it to our family Christmas party this year and the family reunion. I have a vivid picture that will remain in my memories of Uncle Glen out on the "pier" at Hamlin Beach just two weeks ago with his sisters, Audrey and Judy. At the time, I thought, "What a lovely memory for them." When in fact, it's been a lovely memory for me. At our family Christmas party this year, when Santa finished asking all the children their Christmas wishes, he took the time to talk to Uncle Glen. When asked what he wanted for Christmas, Uncle Glen spoke simply "Peace and good health".....the exact wish his sister, my mother, asked Santa 11 years earlier. I love you, Uncle Glen. You will be missed by many.

Shelley I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Though I never met your father I know from the conversations we've had about him that he must have been a good and wonderful man. He also must have been an excellent father because he raised a great daughter. I am certain that as he entered the next world the Lord greeted him with a smile and said, "Well done Glenn. Enter into my love." My heart goes out to you and to your family.
"When this perishable body puts on imperishability, and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will be fulfilled: 'Death has been swallowed up in victory, Where O death is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?' The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." - 1 Corinthians 15.54-57

AS a child you are supposed to dread going to see relatives, but that was never the case when we went to Aunt Ellie and Uncle Glenn's. We were always welcomed with open arms. I can see every bit of the house on King St in my memory. The sounds of Uncle Glenn's voice welcoming anyone passing through the doorway.
Jeff, Gary, Todd and Shelly, please know how much your dad meant to all of us, and how much I hope your memories sustain you and your families now.
Love, Robin

To the Rheinwald Family-My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of loss. He was a true inspiration to me in all aspects. I will always remember the Saturday morning visits to King Street to see Glenn working hard in his print shop and then when he moved across the street on Carolin. I will always cherish the nights Geremy and I would be in trouble with Glen for doing stupid things. He was a friend, mentor, inspiration, and an overall great person. Please enjoy your time with Ellie and please rest in piece, Glenn.

Happy Birthday to my Grampa - a man who never failed to remind me that I "really know how to clear a room". Your sense of humor was a gift that you freely shared. Thank you for still making me smile.
