My sympathies to Dr. Kallen's family and friends. I remember Dr. Kallen as one of my favorite professors at Brockport (class of 1978). I always tell people that he made us use a slide rule for all calculations on his exams, no calculators (there were no computers back then)! He tried to convince me to be a chemistry major, but I remained a biology major despite his pleading. He will be missed by the people who had the opportunity to be part of his classes.
