My eyes are misty as I write this. I knew Mary only through working with her at the Food Shelf on Thursday afternoons, but she touched me deeply. Cheerful, smiling, and vibrant, Mary was totally PRESENT to each person before her. She took an interest in my family and cheered us on, with great good humor, through one son's engagement and marriage. And how she loved her family. Your hearts must be heavy, but you must be so proud of Mary--a great lady and a great human being.
