James "Jim" was a well read man. He enjoyed his work as a Research Chemist for Eastman Kodak Company.
He was the perfect gentleman, caring, gentle, and a soul mate to his wife Cherrie. Always holding her hand whether they walked a short or long distance.
He was a proud father and grandfather. He had a soft voice, easy smile, a die hard fan of the Cleveland Browns, and Boston Celtics.
He was a wonderful, loyal, and caring friend. He lives in our hearts and will never be forgotten. We feel blessed to have had him in our lives.

My heart goes out to the Brown family during this time of bereavement. The loss of Dr. "Daddy Brown", as I called him as a Son-in-Law and now, is hard. Yet, I know he is in a better, peaceful place. Dr. Brown, there's so much I'd like to say, but I remember the days visiting you watching our favorite Jason Bourne films. We both would sit so quietly observing and analyzing every moment of action. Thanks for taking me into your family, and the fond, loving memories you shared with me and my daughters (Gabrielle and Dominique). God Bless you, and I'll see you on the other side.
Peace,
Jeff

There are two truths in this World Life and death.
We must all take some comfort in knowing this.
I am very sorry for the family's lost. Lesley has shared many stories of you and I would have been honored to meet a Strong independent black man who cared for his family to the very last day. May you rest in peace and be free from this struggle until you all meet again.
Take care, keep your hand up and continue to share his memeory that will live forever.
Love and peace
