So sorry to hear of your loss , but know that we will meet again in heaven some day according to the promise given to us in the word of God... I grew up in NY and had the pleasure of knowing Don and his family... Mike & I use to challenge " the Old Men V.S. the young Bucks " as Don and my dad use to say , to a rousing game of badminton in their back yard.... IF memory serves me well , we served ( no pun intended ) up a few lessons on how to lose gracefully ! Hunting / fishing and camping in the Southern tier at Shaeffers place will not be forgotten. Along with woodchuck hunting and blackberry eating.. (we kind of had a problem getting them back to Joann so she could bake a pie..) I have many memories to sooth the loss of a good friend but heavens gain...Edward Mote,wrote a song that plainly states : " My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness , I dare not trust the sweetest frame , but wholly lean on Jesus name... on Christ the solid Rock I stand , all other ground is sinking sand... " My prayer for you is that you will look " unto Jesus Christ, the Author and finisher of our faith;who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame , and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
