Obituary of Frances A. O'Brien

O’Brien, Frances (Grouse) Churchville/Springwater: Born Aug 15, 1922 & passed on Dec 7, 2016 at age 94. Predeceased by her parents Dexter and Alice (Pragle) Grouse, husband Lawrence, sons Larry and Thomas, Brother Fred Grouse and sisters Minnie Keenan, Pearl Rowley, and Shirley Englert. Fran is survived by her daughter Gail (Foley) Corbett, sons Dennis and James O’Brien and Butch (Mary) Woodward. In addition she leaves behind 8 grandchildren John, Lorraine, Tim Corbett, Tommy, Tammy, Ashley, Dennis and Justin O’Brien, as well as several great grandchildren, her sister Virginia (Ivan Mastin) and many nieces and nephews. During her lifetime, Frances touched many lives and was a loving foster parent to children of all ages especially the babies. Later on she enjoyed working at The Genesee Country Museum, dressing up in period costumes and participating in all the activities there, especially the old fashioned cooking and baking. Friends may call Wednesday, December 14, 2016, 3pm-5pm at Fowler Funeral Home, 340 West Avenue, Brockport NY with service to follow. Interment will be held at a later date at Evergreen (Covered Bridge) Cemetery, Springwater, NY. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
