Goldie will be deeply missed by all of us. In her younger days she sang country music on stage and loved to be by the water camping and fishing. She was so full of life and always had a strong faith in the Lord, a bible was always close by her side. The past few years her health has declined but she still let the Lord be her guide. Her grandchildren will never forget the inspirational message she conveyed as she prayed with them "Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen".
We love you Mom.
We love you grandma.

I've only known Goldie for a short time. When I told her my son and I were going to Boston, she said she had always wanted to go there. So, on our little trip, I kept thinking about what I could bring back to Goldie. I purchased a new camera before the trip, so was able to share the photos on my camera with her and tell her about them. She was so pleased. I was able to visit several other times and talk and talk. I remember praying for her lots when she wasn't doing well. She now is perfectly healed by the Great Physician.

My favorite memory of Aunt Marie; There were so many times I shared with her, memories that mean so much to me,times she was there for me.Lessons she taught me about myself and about the world around me.She helped me grow and believed in me.But she always made people smile...unless ya got on her bad side...well then they just tried to get the heck out of there. But the most memorable time and I'm sure a few would remember this was a certain softball game in a yard in county line when she running the bases. She had a little trouble that popped up but just like Aunt Marie she just held on and kept running. And made it to home kind of like her life I think...when things got rough she would just buck up and keep on going to see it through to the end.Heaven is lucky to have her and we were lucky too. Will always miss you Aunt Marie Ina suí ag taobh na dia mar an aingeal ag canadh agus d'ainm agus do imní atá imithe agus nach bhfuil aon phian agus is féidir leis an grá is mian linn duit a sheoladh céad ribh fhilleadh tú ... buíochas a ghabháil leat do gach duine a thug tú an

My heart and prayers are with you and your family. I did not know your Mother but I lost my Mother about 20 years ago. They always have a place in your heart and the sorry is easier with time. I light a candle in memory of both our Mother's.

Rubie and Michael really enjoyed their special times with Grandma. Rubie would always tell me about her movie and/or lunch in Grandma's room...definitely a highlight of the day to both Grandma and Rubie. Grandma will be missed by all.

The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen.

Your friends at Christ Chapel in Hamlin are praying that God will comfort you during this time of grief and loss. I know how difficult it is to loose your Mom and Grandma. I remember Goldie tried to keep her chin up even when we visited her in the hospital when she was very sick. May the Lord comfort you with His Holy Spirit and encourage you with good memories of your Mom and Grandma.

Go rest now precious one,
Your life in eternity has just begun.
Now you can walk, your legs are brand
new.
All of heaven is now in your view.
Look all around,it's all in your sight,
There will never be another dark night.
Flowers and jewels, the street of pure gold, and all of the things that have been told.
I can just imagine the smile on your face as you walk all around in that beautiful place.
Greeting our loved ones as you walk along, while singing heaven's most beautiful song.
This is so very hard, but it will all be okay,it isn't goodbye,we'll see you one day.
We love you and we'll miss you and at times it will be tough, but as with everything,God's grace will be enough.
I miss you so much mom! I piece of my heart was taken away the day you left. I wish you were here with us.

We thank the Lord for Goldie's life and the people she touched. We never knew her personally, but knew of her through friends at Christ Chapel Wesleyan Church in Hamlin and appreciated the fact that she prayed for and supported our ministry in Mozambique (Southern Africa).
