Hamlin: Passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at the age of 76. Predeceased by his parents James and Mabel and his brothers James L., Jack and Neil. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kay Curtis, his children Kim Butts, Mark Curtis, Kevin (Heidi) Acker, Mark (Susan) Acker, grandchildren Ryan, Curtis, Sarah, Jason, and Erin, sister Violet Merritt, many nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
George was a longtime member of the Black North Riders Horse Club and the Hamlin Senior Citizens. He was a Kodak retiree. George enjoyed daily walks with his dog Butterscotch and horseback riding.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 19 at 11 AM in Lakeside Cemetery, Moscow Rd. Hamlin, NY. The family asks all friends to join them for a reception immediately following at the Salmon Creek Country Club. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to an animal shelter of your choice or the ALS Association, Upstate New York Chapter, 135 Old Cove Rd., Suite 213, Liverpool, NY 13090
