For many years, he was actively involved in, and served as leader for, the Cub and Boy Scouts. In earlier years, he spent much time hunting and later became involved in pistol and rifle leagues where he won many awards. He loved the outdoors, gardening, camping, traveling, and the Adirondacks. He was lucky enough to enjoy over twenty years of retirement where he focused his attention on his love of antique tractor restoration. He had a special love and devotion for his family and involved them in all aspects of his life which has provided many cherished memories.
