Peg, or Grandma Browne to my siblings and me, was always a true blessing and joy to be around. I remember her walking around the Lynnwood Drive circle with Kate Fabrizio; we would all run to them and get the biggest hug ever from them both. As I grew up, I would walk around the cirlce and visit Peg - she would open her door and have the biggest smile on her face. I could sit there and talk to her for hours about anything and everything. She was so full of knowledge, love, encouragement, and immense humility. What I will miss most about her is her smile. She had a way of making even the saddest person smile - that I will remember fondly. It saddens me to lose such an amazing person who has influenced my life more than she will ever know. It was such a priviledge to have known her for the many years that I did. I know she is in a better place, but I wish I could have been there to say good-bye and tell her how much I love her. She will be missed by many, especially me. To her family, I am sorry and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I could be there to celebrate her life, but I know that she would want me to be where I am now, persuing my dreams in DC. I will remember her always, and always miss her. Love always, Carla Virgilio

I will always treasure the wisdom Peg departed in a friendly way with her constant smile, and, I fondly remember sharing a favorite treat with her - blueberry pie ala mode.

Peg was a wonderful mentor for me. She made me feel like I was a good teacher and believed I was capable of nothing less. She was encouraging and her generosity to others went above and beyond. I will miss her smile. I am grateful for all she did for the Greece/Brockport connection.

Peg was a generous heart who championed education in its many facets. She was a major contributor to the Anthony C. D'Agostino Anthropology Scholarship at St. John Fisher College during the scholarship's initial stage of endowment. Together with the other memories noted here, it is obvious that she created a foundation that will promote learning for generations to come.

I grew up in Brockport but haven't been back in many years. I remember Peg from the Campus School and the College. She was a dynamic educator and a wonderful person. I was so sad to learn of her death.

Peg was my very first off- campus supervisor. She made my student teaching experience something I have never forgotten. Her support and encouragement, her winning smile and positive comments were all part of the package she used to mentor and create successful teachers. She was dynamic and dedicated. The world will be a little less bright with her gone. Prayers and condolences to all of her family.
