Obituary of Judith M. Behr

Judith Marie Behr (Judy) 04/01/1940 - 11/28/2014 Judy passed away at home from a heart attack on November 28th. She is survived by her three children; son, Eric Gundrum of Hamlin, NY and daughters LynnMarie Chowdhury, of Oregon and Ellen Gundrum of Wisconsin; as well as her companion of over 40 years, Warren Sargent, and adopted daughter, Janine Coccitti. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Valerie, and her dearest friend, Alice White. She joyfully spent the past few years devoted to her grandchildren (Amar, Amanda, Nick, Emily.) There simply was no better grandmother. She worked at the Delco plant in Rochester for more than 30 years. While there she developed technical solutions to motor defects and won many awards for her innovations. She was the first woman foreman in Delco. Judy was gifted with an extraordinary mind, and capacity to learn. Mom was self-educated on computers leading to her own small business, JB Desktop. She had a wide range of friends and interests. Her generosity of spirit, her willingness to step in and help – anyone, was from her heart. Mom loved flowers but requested donations to your local domestic violence assistance charities, the Holley Library, in Holley NY or the Valerie Gundrum Broome Community College Memorial Scholarship. We will gather together to tell stories and radiate joy at Fowler Funeral Home in Brockport NY, between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 6, 2014. We invite you to join us afterward at Judy's home, Thomas Estates, 223 Sunset Dr, Holley NY for a chocolate party. Please bring a small chocolate treat that you shared with mom. We will prepare food for us as well. Join us at one or both gatherings to share laughter and love, and maybe a few Judy style jokes. She loved all of you so very much!
