Gaesser, Walter G. Hamlin: Passed peacefully on July 12, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born in Rochester, NY in 1935. He was an alumni of Aquinas HS and Niagara University. He was a Captain in the Army Reserves. He moved to Kendall/Hamlin area in 1968. He was the owner of Gaesser Tax Services. Past member of the Morton Fire Co. and regular sponsor of community sports teams. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Shirley M. (Priess) Gaesser. He is survived by 7 children, Michael (Kathleen), Edward (Valerie), Mary, James (Rona), Daniel (Sandra), Ronald & Karen (Linda); 22 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Rev. Ronald, David (Ann), Allen & Steven Gaesser. He was the son of and is predeceased by Walter C. and Mildred D. (Ernst) Gaesser. Memorial Service & Mass will be held 11am Saturday 07/19/2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 3747 Brick Schoolhouse Rd., Hamlin, NY. The family invites all to come & celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to this St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Memorial Fund or the Morton Fire Co.
