Wilbur had a personality that just sparkled. His exuberance was contagious! His visits to the office with baked goods are such good memories of a wonderful person with a heart of gold. I will miss you friend, peace be with you.

I am not sure if I am writing this more for you or for myself , either way I will always remember , my friend , Wilbur.
We all have fond memories of Wilbur which we will share over the next few decades. Like ...
March 7th. 1968 , we were suppose to go out for dinner , just the four of us Dad, Mom, Uncle Ray and myself ... Dad started celebrating at the Hamlin Inn a little earlier then us and came home late . Around 11pm. out of the bedroom popped Dad...he strolled over to the living chair lifted the seat cushion... urinated... put the cushion down and went back to bed. I still chuckle when I think of the three of us just sitting there trying to absorb what we had just seen. The next day the chair was sitting out on the curb.
I can see him walking away from you and with a turn of his head look back and flash you that devilish grin. He told me once that was his sexy look.. and .that was how he won Mom's heart. Mom had a different story.
Let us not forget his finger wagging. That index finger had more miles on it then my car , from " You mark my words" to " I'm tellin ya " and we can't forget the shaking of the head in dis-belief. I often find myself laughing aloud at that gesture.
Several years after Uncle Ray passed on I came home to find him sitting in my driveway. He had driven into the city to see how I was doing. We chatted for an hour or so about our lives together, our families and our children. I don't think Wilbur ever knew how comforting our chat was .
I shall forever cherish the life , love, and friendship I had with my friend.
A few days ago I heard a quote from Mark Twain that I do believe Dad would have liked. " When we die we choose Heaven for the climate and Hell for the company". Wilbur, I'll see you later.
All my love, Aunt Nora
