Mann, George J.
Brockport: On Tuesday October 15, 2013 at the age of 83. Predeceased by his parents William Mann and Ada Mann Petroline, sisters Kathleen (Robert) Martin, Grace (Herbert) Van Graafeiland, brother-in-law Curtis Werden. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Carol (Werden) Mann, children Kathy (Jim) Pricola, Jeff (Laura) Mann, Jill (Eric) Klotzbach, and Kevin (Aileen) Mann, grandchildren Jamie (Jarrod) Miner, Molly (Joe) Chimino, Hayley Lown, Caitlyn and Kyle Klotzbach, Adeline, Jack and Connor Mann, sister-in-law Patricia Werden of Colorado, aunts, uncle and many nieces and nephews.
George was a 1949 from Brockport High School, a 1957 graduate of SUNY Brockport, a 51-year Kiwanian and was inducted into the BHS Athletic Wall of Honor . He served on the Brockport-Clarkson-Sweden Joint Recreation Commission for 29 years where he received the Community Service Award, was a very active member of the Jr. Baseball League, the Brockport United Methodist Church and a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving 1951 to 1954.
Friends may call on Saturday from 1-5 pm at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., 340 West Ave., Brockport. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, 2 pm at the Brockport United Methodist Church, 92 Main Street. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to the Brockport United Methodist Church or the Golisano Children’s Hospital.
