My fondest memories of Agisilaos, were generally phone conversations that would happen randomly when I would call the house looking for John.
"Hey, it's Andy, is John there?"
"No...
...
...
How you doing?"
My heart goes out to all the Tavelaris clan, and hope to take solace in knowing that this great man is in a better place.

I remember having a cookout with John and some friends at their home. Hamburgers, hotdogs, the usual stuff. At one point, we were talking about different drinks, having a shot or two here and there. Agisilaos goes into the house, comes back out a moment later with a bottle of Ouzo and the biggest grin on his face. "Try this!" he said with a little chuckle. Us young guys started looking pretty ridiculous after having some, faces contorting. I can still see him laughing. Great guy who will be greatly missed.

"SILA"...without a doubt, a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Our associations with Sila were of good times, laughs and the occasional argument with Sam over whether olives first came from Greece or Italy. My sister and I would dress for halloween and then go to the restaurant where Sila worked to show him..he so looked forward to this day as he never knew what we would dress as. He couldn't believe it when the "Blues Brothers" danced into his kitchen or the skunk and the mouse that made their way throughout the restaurant entertaining those that were there. He always would know it was us and couldn't believe the things we would do. He always would sit with us for a bit and buy our breakfast. He was blessed with a loving wife and cherished his daughter and two sons. Recently he was blessed with two beautiful grandchldren who will be reminded, as they grow up, of the wonderful "Papou" they had. We will truly miss Sila and feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to share the past few years being a part of his life. All our loves and prayers to Sophie, Eleni/Rich and Baby Ty; Costa/Amanda and Baby Ruby and Johnny.
