I can't begin to express how great of a loss this is. Roger was a decent and kind person. I met him when I joined the Brockport Fire Department and knew him only a short time. Roger touched my heart and soul. His love and passion for each and every day was so admirable. Roger and Rosemary came to Florida shortly after I moved here. They went out of their way to try to find me. I will never forget that. Almost every time I came back to Brockport for a visit, I had to stop and visit with the Smith's. They will always be in my heart as family. I loved listening to Roger tell stories from years ago, both personal and Fire Department stories. Roger, I will NEVER forget you. Thank you for touching my heart and soul in the short time I knew you. Mrs. Smith, you have an amazing and wonderful family. may God Bless you always.

Although I just met Roger in the hospital this past week (as his roommate), I could tell what a wonderful,upbeat person he was. I knew he was struggling, but didn't think his passing would be so soon. I know his loss will be tremendous for all the family and I will pray that all your loving memories will sustain you in the years to come.

Smith Family - what a pleasure it was for me to have known Roger. Day one I knew he was a true friend. In the days of my dispatching he'd always stop by to say hello, and just a few years ago I became ill and he'd see my wife in the bank and always ask about me. Roger I'll never forget our friendship, my you now rest in peace and someday we can meet again and chat about those good times. To the Smith Family, you can stand proud, Roger is one of the Best. Mrs. Smith, I have fond memories of Mr. Smith. He was such a great guy.
