Richard A. “Rick” West

Holley:  Passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the age of 67.  Predeceased by his parents Albert and Theresa West and his grandparents Katherine and Daniel McCaffrey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Linda, brother-in-law Michael Fay, nephews Brendan and Christopher Fay, niece Addison Fay, many loving cousins and dear friends.

Rick had many lifelong interests. To say he was an avid pilot, scuba diver or guitarist would be an understatement.  He was always a master of his craft.  A “regular renaissance man”, as he would say.  Rick was a pilot for over 30 years.  He found his love of flying through friends at Florida Institute of Technology. He was based out Ledgedale Airport in  Brockport and loved to fly his Mooney airplane all over the country, the Carribean and most especially the Bahamas. He had more friends than most people.  Great, lifelong friends.  This is no surprise as he was always interested in other people’s lives, was a great listener, and had a huge heart.  A perfect friend.  Rick was also an Eagle Scout.

Rick’s professional career started at Eastman Kodak where he served in various finance related roles.  Over his 33 years with Eastman Kodak, he met and made many lifelong friends and travelled around the world.  He then reinvented himself when he went to work at Red Rochester.  At Red Rochester, he learned and of course mastered the energy business.

There will be a Memorial Service in Ridgefield, Connecticut at a later date.  Please check back for updates.

In honor of Rick, those wishing may contribute to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, https://give.michaeljfox.org.
