My Uncle Rob. Amongst my first memories of him was witnessing what a loving and caring brother he was. Some of my first, of many, good examples of how important family is. I remember spending time at his and my Aunt Barbs house with their two dogs and a yard that at the time backed up to a cornfield. I am fortunate enough to have many memories of countless family gatherings with our family that is so large it confuses in-laws who have been in it for decades. But during these mass gatherings he would always take the time to single you out and ask how things were and get to know you a little. When I went from boyhood to a young adult, I fondly remember him critiquing my handshake, testing my strength and making sure I didn’t get too big for my britches. Endless hours of horseshoes and other yard games gave opportunities for one on one conversations. Some family history, some quick humorous quip from the side of his mouth that was always sure to make me laugh. He would talk to me about Jim Brown because he knew I loved the Browns. When I became a dad he would always ask about the kids and offer encouragement and praise. In these ways, and more that I’m failing to articulate, he was a big part of the foundation of who I am. A shining example of what it means to be strong but kind and loving. He was a proud American and Army veteran. He was part of the golden age at Kodak. He was a great brother. A great Uncle and Great Uncle. Most all he was a loving husband to the love of his life Aunt Barb. Theirs is a beautiful love story. My heart goes out to her now. She has been the most caring and loving wife and an angel on earth. Love to you, Aunt Barb. Thank you Uncle Rob for all the lessons, encouragement and laughs. Rest In Peace.

There is always a good memory and happy smile on my face anytime I think about Rob and of his wife Barb (my cousin). A life well lived and then........he still had his sense of humor up to the very last days. Peace and Comfort to all of you today, in case I cannot be there. I have many memories of my big brother, one is the times we went to Loch Sloy games in Fort Erie along with Barb, Mike & Jean, and Pat, fun times.
A couple of my favorite times were when I helped him put in the pavers for his front walk, and then him helping my remodel my kitchen. He was a good brother, and will be missed.
