Obituary of Carl D. Coleman

With heavy hearts we must note the sudden passing of Spencerport resident Carl D. Coleman, at the age of 87, on the morning of November 1, 2023 while on his way to start a day of guiding. As a Husband, Father, Father-in-Law and Uncle, he will be severely missed by his family.

Carl was an avid fisherman and turned his passion into a career. He owned and operated Carl D. Coleman Sporting Goods in Spencerport for many years. He also ran a guiding business with his Son-in-Law Jay. Most of his days were spent on the water with clients and friends. Carl had a significant impact on the fishing community through his Fly Shop, fly-tying classes and fishing lessons. He was both a friend and mentor to many. He will be remembered fondly and missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 4 – 8 PM at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport.

A private Graveside Service will be held at White Haven Memorial Park.
