May 18, 1943 – October 2, 2023

Predeceased by his parents Ross and Lillian Mitchell, brother Harvey, nephew Chuck Mitchell, brother-in-law Kenneth Akers and loving dog Kiah.

Survived by his sons Terry and Troy, grandsons Ryan and Tyler, great-grandson Bennett, sister Diane Akers, nephews Tim and Ken and niece Kim.

Stephen retired from Eastman Kodak where he worked in the Roll Coating Division. He was a part of the Hamlin Fire Police for 20 years; he served as President of the 2^nd Battalion Fire Police for Monroe County and was a member of the Masonic Lodge (Clio) in Hilton for 26 years. He was involved in AA for 40 years where he served in capacities as greeter, treasurer, secretary, sponsor and father-figure to a lot of people. He started Monday night meetings in Hamlin and introduced a Euchre game after Friday meetings in Hilton.

Family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 3 – 6 pm at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc. in Brockport.

There will be a reception immediately following Calling Hours at the Brockport Vet’s Club.
