Amy was honestly the best teacher ever to my sister Maddie. She was such a bright soul and i would always talk with her and about her about drama, tea, and just talking about her daughter Janelle.

My deepest condolences to Amy’s family and loved ones. She was my mentor teacher while I completed my student teaching in the late 2000s. Miss Parmele is the most AMAZING teacher I have ever met. She loves all her students the same. She was so encouraging and supportive of me as a barely brand new teacher. Miss Parmele shaped me to be the educator that I am today. I am so lucky to have learned from the best of the best. It’s been an honor to learn from you, Miss Parmele. Rest in peace.

Amy Laureano- a remarkable woman. Amy brightened my day at school with her quick smile and witty comebacks. We also had the privilege of having her be our son’s first grade teacher soon after she began teaching. You could see early on that she was doing what she loved and was meant to do. Amy had fire and was fiercely devoted to her family and friends. She loved sharing the latest escapade, project or sporting event with me. You could feel her love for all of you. Amy will be greatly missed but always remembered for her smile, her sassiness and her fun-loving spirit. With heartfelt sympathy, Val and Ed G

When I was in kindergarten, I had a tough time leaving my family to go to school. I cried every single day. I missed my parents and siblings too much to want to be away from them all day. But then I had the honor of having “Miss Parmele” as my 1st grade teacher. She made me feel so comfortable and honestly treated every single student like her own. I was in her class when my little sister was born, and i went running into class with a picture of her. I remember “Miss Parmele” going “LET ME SEE! LET ME SEE!” She had so much care to give, and it never went unnoticed. After I graduated, I worked at Dollar General right in Kendall. Now “Mrs. Laureano” would come in once school was out for the day and get her husband “Coach Laureano” a snack, or a drink, every once in a while. I always looked forward to seeing her, and being able to catch up, now as adult-to-adult. I’m going to miss her so much, and I hope the family knows TRULY how loved she was by her students.

I had the honor of having "Miss. Parmele" as my first grade teacher 20 years ago. She always made sure her students came into school and left school with a smile on their face. The amount of love and passion was unexplainable. My heart goes out to Coach Laureano, their kids and the community ( Kendall /Brockport ) God has called back one of his angels but your spirit will always be with us. May you rest in paradise

I had the honor of having Amy, at the time “Miss. Parmele” as my 1st grade teacher 17 years ago. She was the BEST teacher. Always so kind, nurturing, understanding, and fun. I distinctly remember 1st grade and I truly believe it’s because of her. She had so much love for her students and a special bond with every single one of us, which speaks right to her amazing character. Mrs. Laureano definitely left a mark on Kendall that will never be forgotten. I wish her family, friends and the Kendall community nothing but strength during this time.

Ellen, Craig & Kevin, having been a teacher, there are students you have over the years that you never forget. Amy was one of these students for me. I can’t even think of one instance where Amy didn’t demonstrate kindness and respect or any time when she didn’t put forth her best effort. How ironic that she became a teacher and that she taught 1st grade, as I was her 1st grade teacher at Ginther School in Brockport. As a parent myself, there are simply no words I can offer to each of you, Ellen & Craig, that will lessen your grief or loss. While I didn’t know Justin or their children, I can only imagine how much Amy enriched their lives. I know from colleagues in Kendall and families whose children or grandchildren had Amy, what an exemplary teacher she was. My prayers, love and comfort sent to all who loved and will miss Amy, a simply beautiful human being. Love, Mark Bower, Holley, NY

2 of my 3 children were lucky enough to have Amy for a teacher. I cannot say enough in regards to how much Amy and Justin went above and beyond for my children. My son took a special interest in Amy & Justin when he was struggling. I couldn't have thanked them enough for the amount of time and effort the two of them put into his education at Kendall. When i told my son what had happened his grief was immediate and overwhelming. My oldest has helped Amy in her summer class for the last 2 years. Words cannot begin to say how much our family will miss Amy and her beautiful smile.

Amy was such a bright light in high school and in Young Life while growing up. She always graciously opened her home to us as we all navigated the teen-age years, and I remember so many fun days of laughter at camp with her. She was one of the kindest people I have ever met, sincerely, and when I learned she was an elementary school teacher, I thought "well of course." It was such a perfect fit for her kind, patient, and fun spirit. She came from such a loving home, and she projected that with her caring and loving soul. How fortunate that we were to know her, and how her family and friends must ache with her passing. My sincere condolences and love to them.

I'm still in disbelief that this is real, the years I worked with Amy, at Kendall Central School, I would go into her classroom, to visit and see the kids, she even put me on her attendance list so I would check in with the kids, and talk with them, Amy was a great teacher, friend, wife to Justin and a mother to his 3 children. Amy would do anything for anyone. We had many talks about many things. We laugh, we hung out, she touched many lives and made a different in many people's lives, while keeping up with her own life. My heart breaks for her husband Justin and the children, her parents, colleagues, students and both communities (Kendall & Brockport).
your memories will live forever, until we meet again, my love goes out to all. Ms. French (Lovey)
