Obituary of Alma A. Partyka

Alma A. Partyka was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. All who knew her called her “Gram”. She passed away peacefully at Elderwood of Lakeside in Brockport on June 25th, 2023 at the age of 96. She is predeceased by her husbands Wilfred “Pete” Gallo and Edmond Partyka, many siblings and daughter-in-law Nancy Gallo.

 She is survived by her children, Peter Gallo, Sheila VanScooter and Patricia (John) Buzard; grandchildren Bob (Kim) Interlicchia, Jamie Harvey (Brandon Tobin) and Carrie Buzard (Nate Jones); great grandchildren Haley and Chloe Interlicchia, Justin Harvey, Zoie, Alivia and Johnathan Jones and many nieces and nephews.

Alma was born on November 6th 1926 in Pittsford, NY and moved to Brockport at the age of 16. She worked at the Brockport Button Factory, Kodak, waitressed for many years at the Lincoln Restaurant in Brockport, NY and later worked at and retired from Brockport Enterprises. Alma loved spending time with her family. She was a member of many church groups associated with St. John's Lutheran Church in Hamlin and a member of the Twig Association at Lakeside Hospital. Alma lived a wonderful life and will be missed by many.  

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Brockport.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to the National Kidney Foundation or to St. John's Lutheran Church at 1107 Lake Rd West Fork, Hamlin, NY 14464.
