Dear Dad,
Shirley & I went to the cemetery yesterday on the anniversary of Mom's passing and left flowers. Too bad lilacs weren't in bloom for her yet. We miss both of you very much. Not a day goes by that I do not think of both of you. I watched some of a Yankee game last Saturday night! They played the Orioles, and last I saw was tied 4 to 4. We will be back to visit soon.
Love,
Maria

My Dad, my hero. Where can I start with so many memories...memories of you as my Daddy holding on to your hand...memories of you picking me up from the dances and teaching me how to drive..even making me quit candy stripers because I didn't get there on time...you taught me so many character and life lessons and your terrific sense of humor all that made me the person I am today. I'm glad you are with Mom now and you don't have to stay strong for us..you were always the rock and the one we would go to for words of wisdom or help with anything...I love you and know you are at peace now...I can see you now sitting in the sun with Mom...I will miss your sweet smile and will love you and remember you forever, slim.

Grandpa,
Thank you for providing a roof over my head for the first 14 years of my life. Even when we moved out, though, your house was always "home," not just to me, but to everyone. You and Grandma made it such a welcoming environment and so full of love. It was someplace we could always go to for comfort. I will always remember such joy walking in and seeing your arms outstretched, so happy to see any one of us. You were always so loving and affectionate.
It used to brighten my day to see you walk into the comic book store on the days that I was working there. I will also remember and cherish the memories of taking walks with you up to the bridge, helping you in your garden, getting to drive your riding lawn mower, riding my bike as a teen down to the hospital to spend time with you when you were in there for a few days, and oh-so-many holiday and birthday gatherings.
Thank you for always making me laugh, being there for rides, when I needed help with my car, and for just being you. You are – and will always be – missed, but I am glad that you and Grandma are reunited. I like to think that I inherited my sense of humor from you and, because of that, you will always be with me.
Love always,
Your Grandson Eric

I miss all the visits to Erie Avenue, time in the kitchen, playing cards, the many wonderful parties and times spent with the Brockport Parsons! Thanks to the loving daughters who showed such love with each wonderful dish they shared with the family. We will miss your humor and the love you always showed to your sweet wife, Mary Jane! My prayers go out to the family and friends of my dear Uncle Carlton.
