OH , CAROLYN, WOULD YOU HELP ME WITH THIS OR THAT. HER BIRTHDAY WAS A WEEK BEFORE MINE, SO WE CELEBRATED TOGETHER . MADE AN EVENT .
WE SKIIED TOGETHER (THANKS GEORGE) AND WE WENT TO FORMULA 1 RACES IN WATKINS GLEN. AND OF COUSE WE PLAYED UPSTAIRS ON THE NEW FURNITURE, CAREFULLY. AND ONE TIME WE DUG A HOLE IN THE BACK YARD ON MAXIM STREET AND COVERED IT WITH STICKS, SO A RABBIT WOULD FALL IN TO OUR TRAP !
OH YAH, THERE WERE COUNTLESS SESSIONS AT THE KITCHEN TABLE TRYING TO ENGRAIN GYMOMETRY THEROMS AND SPEELING TO. PIE R SQUARED ETC.
AND YES, SHE EVEN LET ME DRIVE HER BLUE FIREBIRD; VERY COOL. WITH PLENTY OF DECALS, AND HOOD SCOOPS. COOLEST CAR I EVER DROVE.
SO , I OWE CAROLYN ; AND HAVE BEEN ENDOWED , BEQUEATHED WITH HER MEMORY , GOOD ADVICE AND COMRADESHIP; FRIENDSHIP. REST IN PEACE. BRAD HANKS

I remember so many activities with Carolyn: snowshoeing, piano recitals with Mrs. Read, and chatting in our classes together. She was always a kind friend, ready to give a chuckle at some mischievous idea we might come up with.
May she rest in true peace.

Carolyn was a great friend in our Campus School years. Such fun memories of playing upstairs in the furniture store jumping on beds! The years drifted us apart, but she will always have that special friend place in my heart. Much love to the family.

I can hardly remember a time when I didn’t know the Dunns and Carolyn in particular. I remember when the Dunns moved in. It was just a few houses down the street. We played together. She became one of my best friends in high school. We hung out. We shared confidences. We loved and ate lots of carvel ice cream. She had more allowance than I did so when I couldn’t afford one, she’d always buy me one and always say “it all comes out in the wash Susie”. I played pool in the basement, watched my first episode of SNL in the basement family room with her. When she graduated and went to the U of R, I still had one more year of high school. I’d visit her there and go with her to parties in Rochester, we did some pretty crazy stuff together and had fun. She was always looking for Mr. Right….
We both dreamed of going to Europe, traveling the world. She went to St. Thomas, I went to Europe but we kept in touch. As long as my parents were living in Brockport, and I’d visit them, we always saw each other. I’d surprise her in the store or go over for eats and drinks to her sweet little house on Maxon Street, sit on the porch and as she’d say “chew the fat”.
I’ve never forgotten her and feel a deep connection to her for the bond foraged in young years, for our lasting friendship. I am deeply saddened that her life was cut short this way. The only comforting thing for me is to know she died in a place she loved, on vacation and in peace. ♥️
I send my most sincere thoughts and condolences to all of her family and friends who are grieving, especially to Julie, Todd and John. Sending you strength and light in these difficult and sad days.
As they say, “may her memory be a blessing“.
Fondly,
Susan Skelton
