Sally Townsend Ginther
October 17, 1936 – December 17, 2022
Beloved and devoted Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Survived by her Husband, High School sweetheart and love of her life Burton with whom she recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Daughter- Kathleen (Mark) Stevens. Sons- Billy (Andrea Littlejohn),and Jimmy. Grandchildren- Adam (Stacy), Zachary, Aaron (Brittany), and Sara Jane Stevens- Jared Ginther and Jaelyn (Ryan) Vosler. Great Grandchildren- Madelyn, Markus, and Carl Stevens- Jaison Ginther and Amelia Vosler- and Stetson Stevens. Sister, Betty Lou McCullough, Sister and Brother-in-law Ruthanne (James) Clark, Sister-in-law Marie Ginther.
Predeceased by her Parents, James Allen and Ann Heise Townsend, and her Father and Mother in law William F and Maude Thompson Ginther. Sally was a homemaker, and long time Employee of the Brockport Central School District Central office as the Secretary to the Associate Superintendent of Schools. Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Sabur Stables Harness Horses along with her Husband Burt; breeding and owning multiple Sires Stakes winning Harness Horses racing throughout the Northeast United States, Ohio, Kentucky, Florida and Canada. In later life Sally and Burt were snowbirds that thoroughly enjoyed their last 20 years of winters in Deland Florida, with summers at their home on Honeoye Lake with their treasured Sunny Hollow neighbors.
Friends may call at the Fowler Funeral Home, 340 West Ave., Brockport NY, Thursday December 22 from 4- 7 pm, where a Memorial Service will take place at 7 pm. Private interment at the convenience of the Family. The Family would like to thank the Staff at MM Ewing Continuing Care Center and FF Thompson Hospital for their excellent and concerned care of Sally over these past months.
