Shirley Schuff

Brockport:  Succumbed peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2022, with family at her side. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Schuff after 59 years of marriage in 2013.  Also preceded in death by her parents James and Ann (Mele) Farone, brother Charles Farone, grandson John Martin Schuff and great-grandson Kamdon Brian Willard.  Survived by her loving children; Sandy Schuff of Brockport, Mike (Mollie) Schuff of Brockport, Marty (Dale) Schuff of Wexford, PA; grandchildren; Emily (Logan) Willard of Brockport, NY, Shannon (Nick) Tice of Wilmington, NC., Matthew (Emily) Schuff of Rochester Hills, MI., Bryan Schuff of Brockport, NY, Michael (Shelby) Schuff of Barberton, OH., Benjamin (Summer) Schuff of Chicago, IL.; great-granddaughters; Lily and Gabby Schuff of Rochester Hills, MI., Viviana Tice of Wilmington, NC., great-grandson Ashdon Willard of Brockport, NY.  Also survived by her sister Judith Rose of Oceanside, CA., and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends. 

Shirley grew up in Schenectady, NY, a graduate of Bryant College in Providence, RI with a business degree.  She was a retiree of SUNY Brockport as an Administrative Assistant.  She was an active volunteer in her community and devoted to Nativity BVM Church.  Always an elegant lady, Shirley was a social butterfly known and loved by many friends.  She loved dancing and exercising, puzzles, gardening, reading, listening to big band music, travelling, and winters in Florida.  Above and beyond every passion in life, Shirley was dedicated to her family.

The family would like to thank the comforting staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Ave., Brockport on Monday September 26^th from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Church, Main St., Brockport, NY. Burial will follow the mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Golisano Children’s Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box 704, Rochester, NY 14642.
