Douglas Raleigh O’Brien

July 25, 1932 – August 18, 2022

Douglas Raleigh O’Brien of Brockport, New York, passed away on Thursday, August 18^th, 2022, at the age of 90. Doug was born to the late Walter and Lucille O’Brien and stepfather, William Flanagan on July 25, 1932. He is survived by his loving wife Helen of 68 years; sons Robert (Kathy), and Richard (Sheila); grandchildren Andrea, Bobby, Erick, Kayla, Corey, and Joshua; great-grandchildren Brendon, Brianna, Lilly, Elijah, and Silas. Doug was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. He continued to serve his community as a Brockport Police Officer and an exempt member of the Brockport Fire Department. Doug loved driving and drove a school bus, semi-truck, and was even a milk man! Doug had a great memory and zest for life. He always looked forward to family and friends stopping over so that he could chat, play music, and spend time with them. A graveside memorial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery on Saturday, August 27^th at 11:00. A luncheon will be held immediately following at Hamlin United Methodist Church.
