Dolores Canillas Bellimer

Dolores Bellimer passed away on February 13, 2022, in Brockport, NY, at the age of 87. Born in Gloucester, MA, the youngest child of Concepción (de la Flor de la Cruz) and Francisco Canillas, Gloucester never left her.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Sheridan (Bill) Bellimer, and infant daughter Deborah Dolores Bellimer.

Survived by her daughter Karen Bellimer (Robert J. Norrix), her son Kevin Bellimer (Nancy), her grandson Colton Bellimer, and her cat Peanut.

She was a painter with many of her paintings featuring scenes of Gloucester. She loved making music, caring for her cats, and her home. She transcribed braille for many years, even learning to transcribe braille music.

There will be a Memorial Service in Dolores' honor held privately on April 30, 2022. Burial will take place privately in Lakeview Cemetery in Brockport, NY. The family wishes to express appreciation for the compassionate care of the staff at Elderwood at Lakeside and the staff of Hospice. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Federation for the  Blind, Hospice, or a cat rescue of your choice.
