Obituary of Anna Jean (Casaccia) Davignon

Holley, New York

On Tuesday, February 2, 2022, Anna left this world for her heavenly home, where she is now singing, dancing, and gazing in her Savior’s eyes, to her heart’s delight.

Predeceased by her parents Louis P. and Letizia E. (Sorge) Casaccia, Uncle Roland Durand, and first husband John Terranova. Anna is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Edward Davignon, her brother Dan (Joanne) Casaccia, her nephews Steven (Adrian), Marc (Christa), Matthew (Becky) Casaccia, her Aunt Mary Durand, and many others who loved her and will miss her mightily.

Born in Rochester on December 4, 1951, Anna was adored by her Grandfather Peter Sorge, who had just lost his beloved wife Anna (Wasylyk) Sorge. Anna graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School and Nazareth College. Anna always had a servant’s heart, volunteering in many capacities at Christ Community Church, The Gideons International, and in her local community over the years.

Anna and Ed welcomed many people into their home over the years, impacting numerous lives with home-cooked meals and game nights at the kitchen table. These meals were often accompanied with much prayer, praise, and conversation of God. Even when the conversation was difficult, Anna always told it like it was, delivering it the way Anna did everything – with love.

She loved to cook, bake, and host all with an appetite in her peaceful home, especially her birds. From her kitchen table, she would watch her feathered friends out the window, in her homemade bird sanctuary. She would point and name them by heart for her many guests as her birds joined them during each meal.

Friends may say goodbyes at her viewing hours on Saturday, February 12th from 2 - 5 pm at Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Ave, Brockport, NY.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 13th at 1 pm at Christ Community Church, 36 Coleman Creek Road, Brockport, NY 14420. Doors open at 12:30 pm. There will be a reception immediately following the service at the Brockport Exempts, 248 West Ave, Brockport, NY.
