Passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2021 at the age of 77. He is predeceased by his parents Roscoe R. Clay and Margie M. Clay, his sister Rosemary Clay, and his father figure Bobby Vance. He is survived by his Significant Other of many years Kathy D’Argento, son Todd R. (Tonia Hughes) Clay, daughters Robin M. (Paul) Clay Kostraba, Carrie A. Clay, grandchildren, Ashley Clay, Justin Clay, Timothy Boggs, Hunter Kostraba, Briana Kostraba, Sylvia Kostraba, Benjamin Seth-Russell Clay, great grandchildren, Carson Russell Clay, Gavin Edward Clay, Josephine Carolynn Weston, siblings, Gary A. Clay, Joan M. (Gary) Clay, Brenda M. Clay, Roscoe R. (Marie) Clay, Kathy L. (Leroy) Clay Adkins, Anna F. Clay, Earleen S. (Randy) Clay Jennings, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert served our Country with pride in the United States Army, he drove truck for many years and loved his job, he was the lead singer and drummer of the Band Three Miles High, enjoyed Karaoke, he was a Buffalo Bills fan for life, and loved hunting, fishing, riding ATV’s and snowmobiles. Robert was known for his sense of humor, wittiness, and was the life of the party.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 2 – 4 PM at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., where masks are required and social distancing protocols will be followed.
There will be a Celebration of life immediately following the Service at the VFW in Hamlin, NY. Please join us for food and beverage to remember him in the best ways, sharing happiness, music, sadness, memories and love.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to either The American Heart Association or The American Cancer Society (or cancer donation of your choosing) in Robert’s memory.
