Eugene (Gene) S. Wood passed away suddenly on December 22, 2020. He is predeceased by his parents Shirley and Olive Wood; brother Leonard (Tex) Farrell; sister Helen Hopkins. Eugene is survived by his loving wife Dolores; Daughter Teena Wood-Chechak (Jay McDonald); granddaughters, Kimberlee Davis (Matthew) and Kristie Cellura (Joseph); great-grandchildren, Jacob and Allyssa Davis, Lia and Evan Cellura.
Eugene had a long-standing career as Director of personnel and labor relations at Delco Products of General Motors. He was an active member in the community serving for 50 years in the Brockport Rotary Club. He held several roles as a Club Executive including past President and most recently as Membership Chair. He received several awards and honors including the Paul Harris Award.
Eugene served in the United States Army in the 88th Blue Devils Division during WWII. He was selected as a Rochester Honor Flight recipient for the 38th mission. He had a passion for driving and spending time with his family.
Services will be held at a later date.
