It may sound cliche, but Bob truly was a merry old elf. Always a smile, always a laugh. We only met him a few times at family gatherings-he was a neighbor but truly considered family.
This is such a difficult time, no matter how you look at it. I want to think of Bob as getting his real sleigh ride on Christmas Eve, to accompany the Christ Child to visit this mourning, woeful world. I'm sure he helped many people over the years with just a touch.
