Hansen, George H. Brockport, NY: Moved to Heaven on September 2, 2020. Born in Rochester NY on May 25, 1924 to George C and Irene Hansen, he was 96 years old. He was a WWII Veteran and a retired Kendall Central School teacher. He and Helen raised their family in Kendall NY. After retirement he lived many years in Zephyrhills, Florida, where he enjoyed golfing and his lifetime membership to the American Legion Post. He was an Eagle Scout and a 70 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Helen Briggs Hansen and his son Daryl George Hansen. He is survived by his children: sons David (Elaine)Hansen, Dale (Laurie)Hansen and daughter Deborah (Gary) Thomas daughter-in-law Rachel Hansen and his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Allan (Mary Ann) Hansen, and brother in law William Briggs and sister in law Lois Briggs, many loving nieces and nephews and many wonderful loving friends. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and happy outlook! His last words: “I’m OK”! An outdoor open house to celebrate his life will be held on September 19 from 1-3pm with a Military Honor Guard presentation at 2pm at the Brockport Area Veterans Club.
