Kathleen J. Koss “Cathy” (Ferris)
Hamlin: Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday May 3, 2020 at the age of 78. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard “Dick”; children Jeffrey (Andrea Sebeck) Koss, Richard “Rick” (Lisa) Koss, Elizabeth “Beth” (Nate) Van Duzer, grandchildren Conor, Nick, Annie (Jake), Matt, Aidan, Emily, Riley, Alex “AJ”, Addison “Buttercup”, brother Michael (Debbie) Ferris, sister Rhonda (Steven) Unterborn, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Cathy worked for Dr. Scheg and Dr. Fryer Optometry in Hilton for 20 years. She loved and valued public libraries. Earlier in her life her most enjoyed occupation was when she worked as the Hamlin Town Librarian. Cathy was an avid reader and up until her final days, still enjoyed visiting the local library. Near and dear to her heart was being a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Quest group. Most of all, Cathy enjoyed the “loves of her life”, her grandchildren.
Special thanks to Bernie and Wendy from Rochester Regional Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care for their loving care of Cathy. Services were held privately. Those wishing may contribute to the Building and Maintenance Fund at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3747 Brick Schoolhouse Rd. Hamlin, NY 14464 in Cathy’s memory.
