Chapple, Waltraud "Trudy" Brockport: On Friday, June 3, 2011 at the age of 79. Predeceased by her cherished mother Margarete Kuhn and brother Peter. She is survived by her children Michael (Nancy) Chapple, Christine Halpin, Kathleen (Mark) Hill, Susan (James) Wendel-Nickles, Paul (Joan) Chapple, Carolyn (David) Buckley, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Trudy was known by many in the Brockport area and in previous residences as "that sweet little ball of energy," often seen walking quickly through town. Born in Munich, Bavaria, she deeply loved the Marienplatz, especially the Mariensäule, and the churches of Bavaria. She also loved classical music and mountains, bright sunshine, wildflowers, and gardening. Trudy treasured the beauty in everything and everyone around her, and made others' lives more beautiful by her smile and tenderness. Her family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Lakeside Hospital, many of whom gave her comfort, laughter and love. Friends may call Monday from 6-9 pm at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc. 340 West Ave Brockport. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday 10 am at the Nativity Church BVM, Main Street, Brockport. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute to Lakeside Memorial Hospital in memory of Trudy Chapple.
