Barb (I called her Mom) was the best mother-in-law you could ever dream to have. She was a special mother who raised amazing children. I always admired her. I will deeply miss her.

My grandma is the best grandma any kid could ever ask for. She hugged us when we were sick, bought us candy when my parents wouldn't and most of all listen when we needed to talk. I will always cherish all the memories I have with her and will miss her until the day I get to see her again. I love you grandma.

I had the pleasure of meeting Barb while we were both recovering after surgeries @ Lakeside Hospital in 2006. She walked in my room asking if I had gotten a Newspaper. I hadn't, and She went back to Her room and brought me hers. We talked alot over the next 5 days. What a wonderful, caring, truly one of a kind Lady.... My sincerest condolences go to the Lerkins Family.

Everytime I make the dish Colorful Carrots I will think of Barb. I have shared her recipe with many friends. One of my fondest memories is when she came to Lei-Ti Campground for the day and we had a wonderful picnic! This is when she shared her recipe with me and then like a dummy- I lost the recipe and had to call her up to get it again! She was so sweet about it. That's what I loved about her- super sweet with a great sense of humor!!
I know she will be missed a great deal by all who knew her, but I'm sure heaven is now rejoicing and welcoming Barb home.
